On October 1, 2007, NOVA Chemicals Corporation and INEOS expanded the NOVA
Innovene European joint venture to include their North American styrene and
styrenics businesses. The company's goal is to deliver market-leading styrenic
polymers to its customers and to become the most cost-effective producer
in the world.

On October 1, 2005, NOVA Chemicals Corporation and BP merged their European
styrenics businesses into a 50:50 joint venture. Named NOVA Innovene after its
shareholders NOVA Chemicals and Innovene, BP's olefins and derivatives business,
the company's goal is to deliver market-leading styrenic polymers to its customers
and to become the most cost-effective producer in the European market.
In March of 2004, NOVA Chemicals and BP announced an agreement with
Grace Davison to supply NOVACATTM T Ziegler-Natta polyethylene catalysts. In March of 2003, NOVA Chemicals and Helm AG signed a sales and marketing
agreement for styrene monomer in Europe. In September of 2002, NOVA Chemicals and BP signed license agreements
for metallocene and single-site catalysts. Also in September of 2002, ANK400 anti-coking solution for ethylene facilities
was licensed to Kubota Corporation. In August of 2002, NOVA Chemicals and BASF signed long-term styrene monomer
supply contracts. In May of 2001, NOVA Chemicals and Solvochem Emirates Limited signed an agency
agreement for styrenic polymer distribution in the Middle East and parts of Asia. In February of 2001, NOVA Chemicals and BP collaborated to commercialize
advanced Ziegler-Natta catalysts and Advanced SCLAIRTECHTM Ziegler-Natta
catalysts for gas-phase polyethylene processing. In June of 2000, NOVA Chemicals, together with joint venture partners ATCO
Power and EPCOR, opened Canada's largest cogeneration power plant at our
Joffre, Alberta, facility.
